As previously discussed via PM, readers can expect to see Mr. Alexander in a significantly more flattering light in an upcoming segment of Winners and Losers set in Autumn Bay.

Looking forward to it, sir.

(I would call you "Chief", but you might take that as an insult, all things considered.)

In this here art world there is no hierarchy, not like that. To me this is much of its appeal.

(Although I do have a sempai, so there's that.)

All attempts at humility aside, I can promise you that Mr. Alexander will make quite evident his place in the hierarchy.

Hmmmmm, now why would Lirvilas be "insulted" by being referred to the honourific given to only the MOST senior Non-Commissioned Officers in Naval service; a position that can take decades to achieve?

Option 1: Because I DO NOT work for a living.

Option 2: And yes, Sigpig is correct, I would not be insulted. However, to my eternal regret I know I'll never make Chief... :(

Option 3: Ha ha, guess what the Selectees are doing tonight? Camping with the damn centipedes, that's what. But tomorrow morning, it'll be worth it.

You mean "trumped?"
Dang. Gotta start paying attention to those titles...

As long as the secretary on the right is not fired, I can stay subscribed to this.
...
Anyway.
It is true though, joke or not. Easier to label her as someone who should have prevented the problem and switch her for someone else than punish all those who lacked the effort-

You know, MadJak, I think you just might have bought that "secretary" some more screen time, and not as the target of anyone's bad behavior. Perhaps we'll see why someone so apparently incompetent with administrative work is kept around Mr. Alexander.

Yay!

It is always that :S face in the first panel
:(
And I know Ivan is extracting info from her.

OK, so my brain now calculated three possible scenarios because you a good/bad/evil man.
I will see.

*Is* Ivan extracting info from her?

You Europeans are always so lacking in subtlety, with no appreciation for tact. Always the bull in the china shoppe, you!

Come now...
Do not play innocent.
Or maybe I am just TOO suspicious.

EDIT: Holy crap! What if SHE is the one doing the extracting!

@MadJak, RE: "the secretary"

Maybe my art skills are too crude, but take another look at this page...

Why else would Alexander keep her around?

Goddammit!
Thanks!
Plus the S mouth.

You know... You half got me.
Because I honestly thought: "Could it be her?" but did not say anything as I was pretty much sure probably not.
I still had your quote about "keeping around" in mind.
So yeah, you DID surprise me!

Whoo hoo :D
She is a total badass.

Unka John:

1) It's *sempai*, not sensei, and you're definitely the senior guy here (and not just in dog years). Ink LaRue is good stuff!

2) That comment is a play on a certain phrase a certain uh rank of folks tend to throw around when referred to as "sir". If you don't get it, don't worry, and if you do, I'll be expecting you to keep it on the low down.
