Presenting the unflappable Maureen Zehm!

Whoops! Those of you quick on the draw might have seen something other than the above page. Sorry about that.

Ha, yeah, I had to double check what comic I clicked on.
;-)

As for the above, I bet Josh himself was included in that half of the congregation.

There is no time when Maureen is not delightful. In the midst of whatever gloom and doom the LIRverse brings, she is unflappable.

(So help me, the darkest day will come if you ever let her go...)

Maureen's in her early fifties, so she'll be preying on high schoolers for at least another couple decades

I wondered why people would want to wear a transparent blouse to church the first time I heard of such a thing happening. Then I researched the matter more and found out a little bit about the moral flexibility of a lot of apparent moral-crusaders amongst the devout 'Christians.' I suppose the real question is who isn't a flaming hypocrite besides maybe a few utter nihilists?

Per Maureen, the are two good reasons to go to church:
1) Free childcare
2) Dating pool
Edit: these two functions can uh blur (I'll watch your kids while you're fooling around and vice versa.)

Eh, it's a tribe much like any other.

Josh will probably get a few more appearances like this in the near future, as this kinda nasty stuff plays well on Reddit.

So, half of the congregation fell into Maureen's mouth?

Is Josh your version of everything that is wrong with religion or Maureen the cause of it or both?
I have a feeling these two serve more as something manifested than simply you using them to make a point once in a while.

It's "restraint and self-denial" versus full-bore hedonism. Religion happens to be the context where these opposite impulses are clashing.

I don't personally have anything against Evangelicals, I just draw exception to their voting habits as a demographic.
